After month (okay only three and half weeks) of not seeing my family we got to meet up in Manti for the pageant. As soon as they pulled up I ran and hugged my mom then ran around to the other side of the car and jumped into my brother's arms. I think its safe to say I missed them a little bit. We got to walk up and down Main Street and everything there is so old and cute! We went into cute little shops full of vintage furniture, they had a cute little library (this small town's library had iMacs. Me being a Apple nerd kinda freaked out) and they had the cutest candy shop. They had my favorite raspberry sherbet ice cream in a waffle cone. They also had Tow Mator as in the tow truck from Cars, I also kinda freaked out over that. After eating tons of ice cream, candy and plenty of Mtn Dew we went to the turkey dinner they do. And ladies and gentlemen if you ever go to Manti during the pageant make sure you get the turkey dinner, trust me. The pageant didn't start until 9:30pm but we needed to be in our sits around 8:15, we went early to save sits and with Pat in her wheelchair we got front in center! The cool thing about the pageant is right before it all the cast comes down and you get to talk to them, take pictures and just have fun! The pageant was amazing please, please try and go if you are ever in the area. They do a truly amazing job. We got a motel and stayed the night which was nice considering the pageant doesn't get done till 11-11:30pm. After finally crawling into bed at midnight it wasn't long until my mom shook me awake to get ready. We hurried and caught the 7:30 session at the temple and WOW. The Manti Temple is beautiful and its a live sessions! Which it only being my second time I was still a little lost, but man live sessions are so incredible! AND there are these crazy gorgeous spiral staircases. My neck is sore from just staring straight up at it! It was a truly amazing experience the two days. So happy to see my family and can't wait to go home next week for a month before I live again for my mission!
